Bristol Club at the New Haven All Gauge Train Show

New Haven, CT - August 17, 2004

We brought our layout to New Haven for the August All Gauge Train Show, sponsored by Robin and John Vanacore. This is a favorite show for several of the members, as we always see a lot of our S friends there! The show was in a new location this year; a huge, new, City Wide Field House. There was plenty of room for the layouts, and you could take your time visiting vendors without being jostled by crowds in cramped aisles.

The weather was rainy for setup, but fortunately Don Hasenzahl got there early with the trailer, so we were able to pull inside out of the rain for unloading.

Setup went well, with several members helping out. Members shown industiously working are: Bob Hogan with back to us, Bill Frazier in the red braces, Bill Clark, a fast moving blur in green, Stan Capenerao, Rob Sieger, and Don Hasenzahl.

The club usually has a table at shows. Here new member, Stan Capenaro, with his son George, are selling some of our club cars plus members' trains and accessories.

By showtime, the weather was warm and sunny and the following crew were busy working the layout: on the far left, Vice President Helen Lenart, dashing behind Al Coughlin is Bill Frazier, Stan Capenaro is keeping a keen eye on the running trains while Bob Hogan is lashing up another train to head out and Bill Clark checking things out at the club turntable.

We had an excellent club member turn out for this show.
